UNESCO 2016 Worldwide Youth
UNESCO, the U.N. organization that brings grass roots
initiatives in Education, Science, and Culture, invites youth around the
world to take part in this year’s Multimedia Competition. The natural
optimism and unparalleled connectivity put youth one of the greatest positions
to bring much needed change to the world. UNESCO’s mission is to mobilize
youth to purposefully use their talents to serve others now, ensuring
even greater impact on the future to come.
- Participants: Juniors - ages 10-14; Youth - ages
15-19; and Young Adult - ages 20-24
- Product: A 3-minute video, multimedia presentation,
500-700 written essay, art work or any method that channels a specific
passion that answers the prompt
- Dates: The contest starts Nov. 16, 2015 and the final
deadline is Jan. 16, 2016. Judging will take place between Jan. 17 and
Feb. 17, and final winners will be announced Feb. 18.
- Prompt: Choose one of the United Nation’s 17
Sustainable Development Goals and develop your solution to accomplish this
aim. Click any goal above for details on each goal. Entrants should
respond by making a 3-minute multimedia production, 500-700 word written essay,
art work or any method that channels a specific passion in answering the
prompt.
